The Emir of Rano in Kano State, Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad-Inuwa has urged parents, guardians and stakeholders to give priority attention to the education of children, to make them good citizens for meaningful contributions to society and guarantee a better future.
This is contained in a statement by the Zonal Information Officer of Rano Emirate, Nasiru Habu-Faragai and released to reporters yesterday in Kano.
The Emir was reported to have spoken at the graduation of 67 students of Madarasatu Mu’awiyati bin Sufyan Litahfeezul Qur’anic Islamiyya, Rano.
He observed that it was difficult for the child to grow and become a responsible adult without quality education and strict guidance from parents.
The statement said: “Education is, undoubtedly, the hub of human development. The qur’anic school was established to make a landmark in the total upbringing of children, especially in Islamic tradition, to make a distinction in their lives and inculcate in them the Islam doctrines.
The Emir, who also performed the inauguration of the school, prayed to Almighty Allah to bless those who contributed to its development.
The Director of the school, Malam Dayyabu Maigida Chakwaya said the school was established in 2016 with 25 students but had grown to have over 500 students.
The founder of the school, Alhaji Kasseem Alhami, thanked the parents and guardians for bringing their wards to the institution. He urged them not to relent in supporting the education of their children.
