He said this when Tinubu visited Borno State to campaign for delegates votes in the state ahead of the party’s primary.

He said: “One of the story I have to tell you has to do with formation of APC.

“Some foremost rulers from our part of the world went to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu not to work for President Muhammadu Buhari’s ambition, saying he does not represent us, he is not one of us.

“A group of General of Northern extraction also went to Tinubu saying Buhari is not one of us, is not representing us.

“To add salt to injury, a Northern establishment led by a Professor also told Tinubu not to support Buhari, a delegation also came from Daura telling Tinubu not to support Buhari.”
